Sandra Jean Thomas Evert, 71, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was born on November 5, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph Edward and Alice Marie Rhoads Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Scott Evert.
Mrs. Evert was a very active member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church. She had recently celebrated 40 years of sobriety and enjoyed helping others with their addiction.
Survivors include her siblings, Fred Thomas, John Thomas, Alice Marie Thomas Dobbs all of Columbia, Joe Thomas of Essex, MD., Ed Thomas of Hendersonville, N.C., and Mindy Thomas Bolton of Montevallo, Ala.; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church and visitation will be on Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church.
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
