Evangelist William Calvin Reed, 77, of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. He was born on November 8, 1946 in Glen Burnie, Maryland to the late William Henry Ealey and Birdie Mae Stapleton Reed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Newton Vincent Reed, and three brothers, Kenneth David Reed, Raymond Farrell Reed and George Lyndsey Reed.
Mr. Reed was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Air Force and was an ordained evangelist.
He is survived by five children, Michelle Lynn, Heahter Lynn, Jeremy Elijah Reed, William Reed Jr., and Patricia Reed; two stepsons, Truman Leon Vincent and James Dalton Vincent; a sister, Wanda Lee Dyrnl and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Bardin Cemetery.
