Ryan Lee Curry

Ryan Lee Curry, 42, of Cecilia, a son of the late Gary Curry and Genia Raedale Whitlow of Elizabethtown, was born on November 25, 1981 in Glasgow and departed this life on Monday, September 9, 2024 at his home.

Ryan had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Baptist Church. He worked as a General Manager at Talbott Tavern. Ryan enjoyed cooking, fishing, golfing, and playing with his kids, nieces, and nephews.

Survivors include his mother, Genia Raedale Whitlow of Elizabethtown; two sons, Quentin Curry and Cooper Curry of Hopkinsville; one sister and her fiancé, Tessa Curry and Garry Bryant of Campbellsville; grandmother, Virginia Whitlow of Elizabethtown; two nieces, Savanna Taylor and Brooklyn Taylor; one nephew, Micah Curry; one great-nephew, Memphis Taylor; aunts and uncles, Glenda and Mark Wells of Alabama, Reba and Wayne Harris of Illinois, Carola Whitlow of California, Eric Whitlow of Florence, Ralph and Treva Curry of Columbia, Steve and Phyllis Curry of Columbia, Judy and Jessie Bailey of Indiana, Beverly and Davey Coffey of Hodgenville, Terry and Rhonda Curry of Richmond, and Sondra Curry Altman and her companion Barry Harlow of Summersville; a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Whitlow; two uncles, Bob Hatcher and Roy Viers; an aunt, Jean Stargel; and a cousin, Thomas Payton Altman.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Todd Young and Bro. Ben Martin officiating  and burial in Bennett Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Josh Curry, Micah Curry, Mark Wells, Elijah Wilson, Al McVay, Brennan Bailey, and Jody Bailey.
